Extension for Chrome is a plugin provided by IDM which integrate Internet Download Manager easily and enable many features like flash download by which you can download flash media files easily.

To Configure Internet Download Manager Extension for Chrome:

  • You need to go to the Chrome menu (arrow 1 on the image) and select the “Settings” menu item (arrow 2 on the image). Then select “Extensions” tab (arrow 3 on the image)

  • Check that “IDM Integration” extension is enabled (arrow 4 on the image). If you use incognito mode in Chrome, you need to enable “Allow in incognito” checkbox (arrow 5 on the image)

How to Reinstall IDM Extension if Got Deleted Accidentally

  • You need to open IDM installation folder (“C:\Program Files\Internet Download Manager” by default), then drag and drop “IDMGCExt.crx” file into “Extensions” page opened in your Chrome browser. You can also search for the IDM extension on Chrome Store or you can get it from the official website by accessing the URL InternetDownloadManager.com
