“The past year has shown us that even in the most difficult times, humanity finds its way to thrive…” – Wonderfully said and a truly inspiring thought by Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies India at the Keynote Session at Dell Technologies Forum 2021, India edition.
Once again, Dell Technologies’ annual tech confluence, #DellTechForum, has begun with some promising notes on the digital future. Without any doubt, we are in an age of accelerated digital transformation and are witnessing a rapid surge in the adoption of digital ways of working, connecting, and living life in general. And the foundation of this transformation is built on – innovative technologies. This message was brilliantly reflected at the Keynote Session by Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies India.
The second virtual Forum in the row had me all set for some more right at the beginning. I am glad I was able to be a part of the keynote session delivered by Mr Ohrie. His perspectives on how technology has enabled us to unveil our full potential were truly encouraging. It was also motivating to see how India is also pacing up its digital transformation journey with an aim to build a digital future that is – Resilient, Secure, Scalable, and Sustainable.
Being at the innovation forefront, Dell Technologies has been reiterating its commitment towards digital transformation through its extensive portfolio of technologies and solutions – from devices to infrastructure solutions. The company has been constantly innovating to enable customers and partners and empower businesses to push their digital initiatives – adding up to the digital economy of the country.
On the same note, another important insight that really grabbed my attention was how Dell Technologies has enabled an MNC with effective workforce transformation in just a week; how the tech giant brought in operational efficiency, seamless management, and scalability for a finance customer; and how it transformed a mobile payment company with comprehensive infrastructure solutions.
Mr Ohrie’s statement on UPI transections, surging by 76% in April 2021, emphasizes that India is rightly on its part to a robust and resilient digital future. With more and more businesses adopting innovative technologies to digitalize their processes and services, this will not only accelerate the digital economy but will also enable people to do more and innovate more.
But Dell Technologies is not just empowering businesses. The company is also fostering digital readiness among the youth of the nation. Dell has collaborated with a number of NGOs and government bodies, such as NITI Aayog, Shikhshana Foundation, HOPE and more to enable the youth from underserved societies and women with tech-driven skills. With all the information, hitherto, straight from the Forum, I now look forward to attending the sessions on other keynote leaders namely. It should be inspiring to know the insights from Jeff Boudreau – President and General Manager, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Amit Midha – President, Asia Pacific & Japan and Global Digital Cities; and an exclusive fireside chat with Aongus Hegarty – President, International Markets.
I am also looking forward to the Breakout Sessions, as the titles are quite captivating themselves – The Future of IT is Hybrid, the Future of Work is Intelligent, and the Future of Data is Innovative.
Can’t wait to be a part of the sessions where they elaborate upon building digital workplaces of the future, the ease and agility of as-a-Service models, data security in this cloud age, how to extract the full potential of data using AI and so much more.
